Lamb of God Lutheran Church formally began in May of 2004 when the Voters' Assembly of Immanuel Lutheran Church (Brandon, FL) authorized the establishment of a mission and the formation of a mission committee. The committee determined that starting a new congregation using the Open Arms Institute's childcare-based method would work well in the Lithia community. In November 2004, Immanuel Lutheran Church purchased 13 acres in Lithia, and thus Lamb of God Lutheran Church was born. |

The first on-site Bible study was held on January 11, 2005, leading up to our first worship service on Thanksgiving Day 2005. Sunday worship services began November 26, 2005, with 64 people worshipping in the "barn." |

As our number of worshippers steadily increased, we quickly outgrew our surroundings. On September 4, 2007, we dedicated the modular building as our new "temporary" sanctuary. With more space and better accommodations, our average weekly worship attendance has increased to over 190 worshippers. |
